Clock Watch – iPhone App

New to the Apple App Store is a free app I created to help teach children to tell the time. It’s a fun little game featuring an interactive cuckoo clock.

This is the latest in a series of apps I am creating using Flash and Adobe Air for iOS. For a long time now Flash has looked like a dead end technology, but the ability to develop for iOS, Android and the Desktop simultaneously has really given it an extra life. I’ve been very impressed with the results so far. I think it is also especially suited to games and widget apps, but is also great for creating interactive prototypes of more complex mobile apps.

Clock Watch is free on the App Store.

Finnish First Update

iPhone4Simage4My Finnish language iPhone game Finnish First has been updated with a new round. You can now learn how to use ‘in’ and ‘on’ in simple sentences.

I’ve also updated the graphics, and fixed some minor bugs. I plan to continue adding more rounds and more content in the future, so let me know what you think.

Last night my first ever iOS app was approved by Apple!

Finnish First is an iPhone game that teaches you some basic Finnish words, colours and numbers. Win a cross country skiing race by identifying as many Finnish words as possible before your opponent crosses the Finnish line!

I created Finnish First a few years ago using Flash Lite aimed at non touch mobiles. So when I was looking for an iOS project I decided to update it using Flash and AIR for iOS. I’ve been impressed with how easy it was and how well the technology works.

If you want to learn some basic Finnish give it a go and let me know what you think.
